Places to go to see the latest releases
You can tell us more about Worksop.
Cinemas
- After 7 cinemas in WORKSOP failing the council have now funded a new one. Most eductated people would realise after 7 that they dont work here
- Yes its 20 miles away
- worksop! cinema! dont make me laugh, they cant afford one! my tellys bigger than the old cinema at the regal!! and any film they used to play was at least 5 years old!
- The nearest one is Sheffield Meadowhall
- What Cinema? The legendary Regal has gone and hopefully forgotton...
- Regal but its shut down!
- Regal - was cramped and really behind until it got closed for making a total of about £1.50 a week (all from kids wantin a can of pop so they had change for the bus home)
- The Regal - put it this way, they're still showing the Gremlins - that is if the council hasn't suceeded in shutting it down so they can spend the budget on a 'fact finding mission' to a town in Germany that is coincidentally hosting a beer festival
- the regal, move to Doncaster or Sheffield for the cinema
- Hmmm.... Regal... OH, the irony!
- The Regal Arts Centre is all fine if you want to see a stage show, but if you want to see a movie... well you might as well go to HMV in Sheffield. By the time a film comes to the Regal, it'll be on the 3 for £20 shelf at HMV.
- Regal is a dump and always has been typical of Worksops inability to move with the times. For gods sake build something new the only reason people do not use the regal is cos its a dump you thick twats.
- the regal once more, a bed sheet and a guy with a cpoied video is how it should be described.
- According to reports a multiplex cinema is on its way, i'll believe it when i see it. The best around this area is the UGC at sheffield.
- well i would definitely not get up my hopes to see a latest release at the regal!
- GO TO SHEFFIELD OR DONCASTER DON'T GO TO TE REGAL UNLESS YOUR USED TO CHEWING GUM FILLED SEATS AND LITTER AND STUFF LIKE IT
- go to the regal see a film or you could of seen the sameone six months earlier somewhere else
- the regal three television sized screens
- The Regal? Ha ha ha ho ho ha ha he he - oh....oh..........what a dump!
- Regal; Rubbish
- The regal is shite!! but only wen theres a film on!!
- wel al i can say it that the regal is a bag of bollocks!best place 2 go is mega plex in sheffield!
- So you want to see a film in Worksop? Forget it! The only cinema in town (if such a word is appropriate) is the Regal, a place which is so old and out-of-touch, it thinks Michael Jackson's still top of the charts (and black!), shellsuits are in fashion and Top Gun's this week's #1 movie. Which is probably what it's currently showing. Go to Sheffield's UGC complex or Meadowhall's Warner Village instead (hell, go to Crystal Peaks if you're that desperate!)
- The Regal Arts Centre cinema may not be as modern or spacious as the big UGC complexes etc, but it makes a real effort and the theatre has fantastic acts on all the time. The manager of the Regal does a brilliant job in getting a range of performers to go there. We should support small theatres such as this - don't let the council shut it down. Long live the Regal!!
- The Regal. Films are on Sky weeks before they get to the regal. Also if your taller than 4 foot don't bother trying to sit in the seats. It would make a much better venue for a nightclub. Worksop could do with a proper warner-village type cinema building. High Grounds farm site where Sainsburys is would make a good spot.
- Cinemas=The Regal, the bathroom in the regal is bigger than the cinema room!!, i bet they're stilll usin siny films!!
- Go To Sheffield .... no ... MOVE to Sheffield
- The cinema in town is old. But at least there is one. There are plenty of people with children who dont have cars or transport for which this luxury.
- Worksop needs a bowling alley or an ice-rink. The swimming pool could do with a revamp.
- The regal has a monopoly here as its the only one but its that bad its just got ET!!
- the cinema in worksop iz pantz!
- Regal Centre, please take binoculars and thermal vest.
- The Regal - Ideal if you are going to see 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' at midnight - very much a aging cinema in 'reduced circumstances'. The plush drapes are now rotten, and the seats are filled with fleas. But, it's one of the last of it's kind. We must cherish it (but from a distance).
- Worksop has the worst cinema ever, the regal its called or the alamo! It run down , over priced small screened, crap staff tack. The council came up with the clever idea of "PROPOSING" a new cinema, it was in the guardian if you dont believe me. But as everything the council "PROPOSES" never appeared. The council are a bunch of half witted, ex communist, thick headed scum! They can't run this town and never have been able to. We need a council we can appreciate, a council we cares, a council who wants to care! We need a new town.
- Regal. Haha.
- The Regal- It has one screen, and is the worst cinema ever. It should be burned to the ground as well as the other stuff near it!
- The Regal. An old cinema, but the only one around.
Not too shabby since refurbishment.
- The regal is sh*t and it smells funny.
Latest Films include :
ET, Superman II, Goonies and Indiana Jones.
- If you suffer from there is always a chance to visit The Regal Your Sure To Have lots and lots and lots and lots and lots Oh! and not forgeting lots and lots and lots of fun ( In your grave! )
- The regal. Pay to watch a tv smaller than the one in your living room playing films that the video shops had for 6 months.
- the regal is poo
- The Regal centre cinema is well worth a visit, to any star struck film boff. It's large screen and comfortable seating makes it the ideal day out for anyone young or old.
- The Regal. If you want to watch a film with your head between your knees whilst listening to the conversation behind you between two fifteen year old girls talking about their 25 year old boyfriends and what they do to them whilst straining to see the screen because it's so small, however, this is the place for you!
- None...oh wait a min there's the Regal...nah don't bother with it.
- The cinema still shows stuff from 3 months ago !
- The Regal Centre. One Screen,so dont expect much. They have started getting in all the recent movies though, about a week after release.Dont expect 10 screen multiplex's though.Better off in Sheffield.
