Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
- the icon is not good if you
- THE REEF! WOULD BE NICE IF U COULD GET IN! BUT NO THE BOUNCER ON THE DOOR RALPH WILL BAR YOU. IF YOU USE UR MOBILE PHONE IN THE ENTRANCE, OR FOR FALLING DOWN THE STAIRS AFTER HAVING A FEW, OR FOR EVAN WALKING AWAY FROM PEOPLE WANTING TO FIGHT YOU! SILLY THINGS HE WILL BAR YOU! THEN WHEN YOUR PARENTS ATTEMPT TO GO INTO THIS CLUB HE WILL SAY NO TO THEM TO! GOOD CLUB BUT EVERYONE IS BARED SOO NO POINT REALLY GOING THERE IS USALLY ABOUT 15 PEOPLE IN THERE AFTER 10OCLOCK EVERYONE IS BARRED!
- Ikon... Reef yeah!!! under age drinkers n manton chavs love it.. really they do. the there is the odd not so classy girl!!! with the dodgy dj chattin them up.. Ob or Bo lol whats his name again? GREAT MUSIC THO-from 5 years ago!!
- try the boundary on potter street. This pub just sums up Worksop.
- oo the place be is ikon formally known as the avenue we have ravein music rip off drinks n dont 4get the chavs aka everyone apart from a few individuals that get jumped on the way to the toilets!!!!! n then 2 end a fun nite y not go shaggin at the local cricket club feild or the canch ure choice u lucky lot !!!!
- ikon an mavrix are the best places to be in worksop, its 4 da young 1s tho an yes worksop does serve people underage iv bin going out there since i was 14!!!!!
- No chav dare set foot in the Frog n Nightgown opposite the regal
- Obviously all the people that slag the unicorn off are either under age or just idiots and have been barred by the doormen. I pity those fools!
- The Frog, or you want to leave town
- The best place in worksop for a night out is Disarelis which was formally called Churchills it has a brilliant patio area and a great atmosphere on a friday and saturday night it is open till 12 and has a disco which includes chart, 70s, 80s and songs that havent been released yet it is fantastic i give this pub 10/10 and i would tell anyone of any age 18+ to go there its brill!
- Maverix and icon
- the ikon, used to be the avenue- say no more
- I think most of the people in clubs are kids, and they get 'ahem' by the pervs. No bl**dy morals!
- Avenue or whatever the shithole is called this week. Only go if you want to
lose an eye or if your lucky a Bollock.
- i'll be sick if i have to remember the ikon, formaly the avenue
- The Ikon (formerly Avenue) did look better after the refurb but its still the same crowd every weekend. Theres currently a strange smell in the area to the left of the main bar. On a sat nite its a rat run to get to the far bar, you either have to barge your way past a packed crowd at the main bar, embarrassingly walk across the dance floor or brave the mantoners stare along fighters corridor. Drinks are expensive but the DJs good(Matt). For a decent club try The Works @ Nott'm, Kingdom @ Shefield or Liquid @ Mansfield.
- Try the new ikon, aka Agadoo! Looks ok from the outside but if the club doesnt scare you off then the people inside will! Mavrix is a bit swanky.
- i don't go clubbing im not that type but there are two clubs in worksop that do under 16's nights
- cum to envy and chill with all the mantoners who are bared from icon. just don't look at them in less you wanna be scraped off the floor by not only the mantoners but also the travellers.
- The Buzz nightclub is a total dive its full of scruffy mantoners causing trouble trying to pick a fight just to get a little respect from there bone head mates manton-wipe it of the map, and its residents!!!!!!
- Try and remember when people used to go to PJ's (or as I remember it - The Conservatory). If you think the avenue is shit (which yes it is) this place was a fucking hole!
- The Avenue, Worksop's premier night spot....remember though, you can't go lower than number one.
- None existent. The Avenue is crap.
- its about time we had a choice of late night venues in worksop.we do now have the litten tree, nice place and open till 12:00.for gods sake re-furb the avenue, its been open since 1995 and has never had one, come on luminar leisure, you constantly brag you are the largest club operator in the country, throw some petty cash in worksops direction.Unicorn is shit, still, applied for 12:00 licence then had to give it up due to lack of trade, its just another place in need of re-furbing,but we all know now its in private hands this will never happen.Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Worksop!!!!!
- The Buzz, Envy, whatever they're gonna call it next week. I've never had the 'priviledge' of going there, thank f**k! And then's there's the Avenue, which markets itself as 'Worksop's Premier Nightspot' - very clever, since there isn't any else to compete against. To be fair though, the place is the absolute pits. 1980's deco, 1990's music and 2000's Worksop folk all make for a place with one of the worst atmospheres I have ever experienced!
- The avenue should have a sign reading "Do not enter unless already drunk 8 pints" needs to be bigger, re-decorated and play proper dance music, not cheesy pop. Please avoid brunette bird dressed as miss santa this weekend.
- If u can walk, u can get served in n e shop, u dont even have to b able to speak, i mean the spotty face, greasey hair and brace dont give it away that there under 18?, well the nappy shuld!! (but oh no not in Worksop!)
- hmmmm .... well worksop does have the avenue to start late night fights in, that or the newly named "The Buzz" which would suit Worksop as it reminds you of the Buzz you get when the average Worksopian injects with Heroin, or the Buzz you feel when you leave this filth ridden town?
- avenue, dont be daft
- lets have another night club, a bit of competition never hurt anyone. besides where else have the kids got to go????
- The AVENUE!!! it looks like it was last furnished in 1973...avoid like the plage!!!!
- Yes we have many clubs, used to beat the living daylights out of each other on a saturday night on Bridge street.
- The Avenue? - Used to be the food hall of Woollies when I was a kid. . . Oh, it was so much better then. Less chance of being glassed!
- The Avenue. Voted by a lad mag some years ago as 3rd worst club on planet. Beaten only by the Shitehouse in Retford and somewhere in africa. It shows.
- The Avenue Talk about the one eyed man in the land of the blind
- The Avenue- The crappy box above woolies.
- churchills>has a balcony 2 set the scene for a good nights boogie if u dont mind dancing on top of the peep next 2 u.
YATES WINE BAR>cant go in if u are wearing anything that costs less than £300 its a tight squeeze but everyone just about fits in .Its ur kinda place if u like 2 b sat down doing nothing surrounded by toffie nosed snob wanna b's
- The Avenue may be the hot spot in town today but those in the know lament the passing of Charlie's, where you could get punched by experts and catch a particularly virulent strain of STD, previously unknown to science.
- Avenue seem to have cornered this particular market. Better off buying a pizza though. Loads of buses take Wassopers to nearby towns on Saturdays (sometimes bringing them back too)
- We have the avenue but that doesnt even warent being called a club!!
- The Avenue, Worksop's one and only club. Above Woolworths and has cages, need I say more?
- hmm.... the avenue... the very reason that people shouldnt go clubbing. It is possibly the worst club ever created, unless u like 80's decorations with crap 90's music.
- The Avenue is the world's greatest example of why you shouldnt go clubbing. Go on a thursday (cause its cheapest) to find out why....
- The Avenue - oh dear, the only club where the bouncers throw you in ! other nightclub seems to have been forsaken
- I wasn't aware that there were any nightclubs in Worksop, oh yes there is one sh*t hole above woolies, which I've vowed never to enter again, trouble is, theres nowhere else to go, oh yes there is, HOME. But if you do go, look out for crazy John, doing his Tom Jones styley dances in the cage (Good laugh, He's the one with the larger than average head)
- Only one baby - The Avenue, the worst club I have ever attended in my entire life. It stinks, it's overcrowded, the music is always sh*te and it just is generally one of the worst places on earth. Avoid the place, except if you fear not being served in the pubs because of your young appearance, but not able to clarify the situation by having valid ID. Then the Avenue is the place to go - if asked, just tell the boucers your date of birth and as long as you're with a woman he thinks he might have a chance with, you're in!
- never go to the frog and nightgown unless your quere or a mosher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!stay away honestly its got a right reputation
- The Avenue is dull as dish water and looks like it was decorated in the 80's.
- Avenue is the worst place to go...it's so shit. You have got to be totally stupid to go there. Go to the Frog and Nightgown.
- The Avenue is the only decent one, but since just about everyone is banned now, we go to Pulse or Wow in Sheffield or Visage (dodgy) in Doncaster.
- The Avenue has a great student night on Thursday all drinks £1.20 and enterance is £3.00.
- The Avenue (above Woolies). Small, tacky, shite music, but cheap beer on Thursdays.
