You can tell us more about Worksop.

Pubs
  • MIllhouse - Like a ghost town on Sunday nights - only needs tumbleweed and John Wayne
  • Shieoaks inn
  • littern tree, exsetra, waterfront, vida lounge, disralies, unicorn, queens, liqrish, fuck ship, grafton, romans, three leggerd, All drugs are sold fighting is the main atraction first aid is great,Basitlaw dont hav dat meany savivors and drunken fatalities are down wife beating is coman as the drugs u buy are sumtimes dodge try to stay away from the shady cunts at the bars try local lads az u onli afta sort them a line out. ask fa Baz
  • Queens head, karaoke/disco on a sunday night. wicked night out.
  • FROG AND NIGHTGOWN HAS SHUT. REGAL IS NOW CALLED THE CIRCLE AND IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS. IT IS POOR. WORKSOP SHOULD BE FLATTENED (EXCEPT FOR NEW PRIORY SHOPPING CENTRE WITH MARKS AND SPENCERS,ETC) AND REBUILT. FLATTEN IT PREFERABLY WITH THE DRUGGIES AND ALCOS AND FERAL YOUTHS STILL IN IT.
  • The Unicorn is the best cos they have a Pound night on Thursdays, All drinks £1 !!!
  • right, well the unicorn- they never used to let me in underage, but now they dont seem to have any problem with 15 year old slags in their minx clothes dancing drunkenly after their 1 pint, but if you offer the bouncer some drugs you might just be able to blag your way in! the queens is full of horny perverts, and the few underage kids who got asked 4 i.d. at the unicorn.then theres mavrix, more commonly known as chavrix, and yatses, that they tried changing the name of to something chavvy, but will always be known as yatses. n the litten tree, where you need a bank loan to buy a drink, or at least your weeks dole money!
  • You have to go to the boundary pub on potter street for a tast of worksop life. yuk!
  • Avoid the one on Potter Street oposite the town hall, owners are as ruff as the punters that go in there and their daughters should live in Manton they would fit in there
  • THERE IS SO MANY PUBS IN WORKSOP THAT IS THERE ANY WONDER THERE ARE SO MANY ALCOHOLICS. THIS TOWN IS MADE UP OF BANKS, CHARITY SHOPS AND PUBS. AND THERE IS NO DECENT SHOPS AT ALL.
  • Disraeli's - Just awful since the new manager took over
  • mavrix, queens, yates, litten tree!!!! a night out in worksop is great if you know alot of people that live there
  • the mallard are they all interbred what a pockey pub
  • frog
  • The Millhouse, safest place to go
  • Obviously all the people that slag the Unicorn off are either little boys or girls that are bitter that there fake ID got turned down by the doorstaff or that they must be completely stupid and behave like morons.
  • Dont do it never drink in the town you may not survive it.
  • Vine, Newcastle arms, Old ship, Carlton Tavern, Yates, Unicorn, Cannon, Gateford, Disrealis, Waterfront, Riverside, Liqurirish gardens, Kings Head, Queens head, K-Bar, Swan, Three legged stool, kilton inn, Grafton, Capones
  • Reunion - kiddy central and very expensive (£15 for 7 single whiskies). Kbar -home of chavs, chavs and oh yea CHAVS. Frog n nightgown - beer crap music and vampire wannabes.
  • MAVRIX worksop what a great weekend we all had, we didn't want to leave. The whole place was amazing, great music, decent pints, really friendly bar staff especially the land lady as she joins in with everyone. The whole night was exelant.
  • the greendale, proper good pub
  • Frog and Nightgown, Top House, Half Moon. All good!
  • The Tavern alledgedly serves blacks.
  • Is The Innings a pub? My mate will kill me for saying that.
  • Contrary to what someone has said, The Innings is great pub! Good beer, good company and best of all, no idiots under the age of 21! You want a good night out in Worksop? Try the Innings on a Friday night.
  • Newcastle Arms is sound although it has gone down hill since the Fantastic AVIS lest.
  • Not content with most pubs in Worksop running Youth Clubs on the side,(hence the demise of the "youthy", which is now run from a yellow mini bus in Manton), The Litten Tree is obviously trying to remain as "P C" as possible by employing DJ's who are more in touch with "Fluff Freeman". Retire and grow old gracefully. Will someone please take the hint and employ someone who is in touch with the real world and real music. Dance music isn't "cha cha slide".
  • the ship used to be a hallowed area for the fresh of faced, yet with the hostile take over of 2002, things changed, now the reunion is the place to be, or the unicorn, for the culture vulture go to the liquorice gardens, san miguel is £1.19, and the beer garden is nice, if abit small.
  • The pub disraillies where one bouncer insists on chucking you out even when you are allowed 20 minutes drinking up time. you get told that you can't look at your watch, and if you complain he tells you to not drink here anymore. Nice bloke.
  • The white lion has not been as busy since Liquorice Gardens opened (Wetherspoons), the ship is dead, Poco Locos has a good atmosphere even if there is only 20 people in, the reunion can be a youth club on thurs but is generally 1 of the better bars, the queens is the overspill for the unicorn which is still worksops busiest pub for its capacity. The liquorice gardens is always busy early on as it is the cheapest (ideal for this town) Mavrix is a good cellar bar, yates's is worth a visit but the litten tree is probably the best venue to be between 10:00 at 12:00 and Disraeli's is the best looking pub in town. Pub crawl:- Disraeli's, Litten Tree, Yates's, Mavrix, L Gardens, Unicorn, Reunion, Poco Locos, Unicorn(for Ikon)or Litten Tree
  • Weatherspoons (the orange one) - kitchen staff in there are quality and its really cheap!
  • we've got too many!
  • carefull waiting for an ambulance outside icon nightclub only takes 45 minuites when someone internally bleeding and also from the head. so if you wanna DIE go to worksop night clubs.
  • The Unicorn have started doing a dedicated R&B night on mondays, BO SELECTA!
  • The Litten Tree is CRAP!
  • FOR A DELICIOUS PINT OF PISS VISIT ANY TOWN CENTRE PUB, THEYLL FOOL YOU INTO THINKING YOUR DRINKIN FOSTERS OR CARLING OR SOMETHIN WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE NICE WHEN IN ACTUAL FACT THE SLOP YOUR DRINKIN IS RECYCLED FROM THE TOILET.TAKE NOTE UNICORN, REUNION AND LITTEN.
  • What was TP Woods is now crap and full of annoying liitle bastards without a hint of hair on their faces! Stay downstairs for a good time or move upstairs for jelly and icecream!
  • Ten bob Thursday at the Renunion.......hmmmmm
  • I THINK THE KINGS HEAD IN WORKSOP IS GREAT IT HAS A KAROEKE EVERY THURSDAY AND SUNDAY WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT...ALSO DOUBLES FOR ONLY £1.50.. YOU CAN GET PISSED AND SOUND IT AT THE SAME TIME PLUS SOON IT IS STARTING FOOD BY THE BEST CHEF IN WORKSOP... STOP WASTING YOUR TIME ELSEWHERE... TRY THE KINGS HEAD IT ALWAYS DOES IT FOR ME...
  • UNICORN, At last has had a refurb. Nice food served very cheap, highly recommend it, very popular at lunchtimes, great choice on menu. Do a cheap brekky as well if your passing that way.
  • There are many pubs in Worksop. This may be the reason why there's a stupid number of drunken twats, who'd start a fight with their own shadow if it got in their way. Worksop is a genuinly horrible place to go out after dark. Dont bother!
  • Liquorice Gardens-bit dull n quiet, Ship-gud once it gets goin, The Reunion-best pub in town, The Unicorn-absolute shite (especially the staff!!)
  • wel the unicorns shit wel if u get kicked out b the ugly dog bhind the bar HELEN FOYES!
  • The Unicorn needs the Himmler approach - lock the doors on a Friday night, open the gastaps, and hey, final solution....
  • The nicest pubs in Worksop are the ones with the fewest local headcases in, so a shout goes out to The White Lion (PKA The Top House), Licquorice Gardens, and the Litten Tree.
  • Re-union plays mostly shit. Unicorn has best atmosphere and best music.
  • There's too many fights in Worksop, Why hasn't Don King signed up for the CCTV footage screening on Pay Per Views. There's that bloke who has bong eye who is always fighting smaller kids, while his over gold wearing thing with blond hair always cries shouting " Kev leave him alone" everyweek he gets shit kicked out of him and storms into Florentino's where him and her argue she leaves he kicks in phone box. Storming up Bridge street shouting I love you ten feet behind her all way home.
  • Good News, The Unicorn has started doing karaoke on a monday night and they do 4 VK or 4 pints of lager, beer or cider for £5 ! (well mashed)
  • The New Old Ship on a Monday night is THE place to be! Us regulars are there every week without fail, entertaining people on the karaoke and by gettin pissed and talkin to random strangers! Its great fun! and the word of the Ship improving has obviously spread cos its gettin busier every week! Also, Tminus10 played at the Frog n Nightgown the other night-they rule! woooooo!
  • FORRESTERS....COME DOWN ON A SATURDAY WHEN THE OLDBLOKES ARE WATCHING THE RACING, ITS HILERIOUS WHEN THEY START ARGUING
  • Finally Worksop can say it has one good pub. The newly opened Liquorice Garden in the old Kwik Save has what Worksop has been badly needing - modern decor, carpets that aren't sticky, air conditioning, and somewhere with a bit of class! Can we have more please!!
  • the unicorn usd to be a top pub a couple of years ago with tunes for everyone and lots of decent people.now its just another sad scruffy place where the barstaff cant be arsed to wipe down the bar even when the place is empty.the music`s always too loud, the manager looks like he`s lost a tenner and found 10p and the customers are scrotes.
  • The Old Ship at the top of town, is by far the best pub, in that place we dare call home!. Many a brawl between mates over the dispute whether it was The Old Ship, or just The ship! You can even bet whether it'll be Barry White, or Kelly Marie on the tune machine when u set foot inside. Heiniken £1.30 a pint, Stella £1.60 cant go wrong. Watch out 4 that Rick Astley fella though. Magic. Well what else u gonna do, its better than starch. Go on Thursday on Saturday, its cheaper then!
  • The White Lion (top house), a great place to start a nite out. No music so u get a chance to talk and the beer is a good price, 99p for a pint of Fosters and some other pints and bottles. Great in the summer with the beer garden at the back.
  • doesnt the kid in the tracky bottoms, addidas trainers and SCHOOL BAG on there back get kicked out of the pub, ha!, no i mean this is worksop
  • The Unicorn is still, and always will be, the best pub in town. Why do you think people only queue out side this pub, when they can just as easily get into another that has no queues......Ill tell you, BANGING MUSIC this pub has the best DJ's in worksop and they are on 7 nights a week! CHECK IT OUT !
  • Yates Wine Bar and Semi-Nudist Colony (and that's just the blokes)_
  • the ship is great, it has a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly, its one of the best pubs in worksop cos u dont have to wait about half an hour for a drink
  • Unicorn is a good place to get murdered. Also no-one sees anything.
  • hey are you kidding or what they never serve minors its full of the cheeky brats , thank god im in oz , the council gets a good back hander when they give planning approvel for a new pub , just ask the councilers who got the back hander this time , they are as thick as thieves , try the innings for a crap pint .
  • all pubs are wank , come on its worksop full off mantoners
  • The frog and nightgown is shit-hole. It's full of wannabe-goths and moshers who need to cheer up. I've also heard they are going to build a 'rock city', argh when will this silly 'nu-metal' trend end?!?!? PUNK ROCK FOREVER.
  • QUAY SEVEN
  • getting a pint in The Unicorn on a fri and sat night is like queing for bread in russia!!!!
  • Rough - Rough and Rough. The main tool Worksop landlords use to attract their bar staff is free entry into 'The Avenue' - now what type of bod do you think that might attract? However, things perked up when Dino took over 'The Kings Head' - loud music, and a stream of ugly Queens to serve. Lets face it,if they had anything about them, they'd have moved to Manchester as soon as puberty kicked in! Dino is fantastic, however. Once saw him trying to cruise a priest on a friday night - and he still had his dog collar on! Respect, from on high!
  • I know the Manor Lodge has changed hands recently (got a baptism of fire when a bunch of nutters wrecked it New Year's Eve and Police took 40 minutes to arrive); but this may not have been a bad thing - prior to this the previous lot ran a kind of restaurant in the back... It was quite frankly the worst meral I've ever had, no taste, overcooked, and straight from Tesco's... All this for £25 a head. Decore left a lot to be desired - it was headache vermilion, enliveed by picutres of hounds tearing hapless foxes to death. grweat. Couldn't wait to get out, skipped the pudding. Best thing about the night was the horse that stuck its head round the door.
  • White Lion (especially mondays when everything is a quid) is dirt cheap. Annoying snidy staff occasionally refuse to serve 15 year olds which is odd for worksop. TP Woods for the worksop in crowd. Yates for slightly older version of TP - No trainers! Unicorn is dire. Queen's Head has a good trivia machine. Churchills does double voddys for a quid. Frog if you dont want cheesy music on.
  • parish Oven at Thorpe Salvin used to be very good place, btu you need to drive which is a pain; interesting selection of local characters, most of them poachers. Greendale Oak at Cuckney has just changed hands (Feb 2001), the landlord clearing off soemwhere up North, and taking his rather feisty, not unnatractive daughter with him. Hope the new bloke can keep up the standard of cooking. Roaring fire in the back in Winter (i.e. all the time).
  • The British horn run by the biggest looser in the town
  • The Mallard - for refreshing real ale and friendly atmosphere
  • The 3 Legged Stool and the Mallard both produce good ale at good prices. There are many other pubs dotted about.
  • That murky black hole that describes itself as the Canal Tavern - you can get cancer in both lungs just by looking inside the Snug room. Half decent food at cut prices on Saturadys - God, how I miss it...
  • The White Lion. Good beer!. Good food too.
  • the frog and nightgown pub is now under new management, and now it is pyscho-city,and i recommend and full suit of armour and weapon when visiting this establishment!
  • The millhouse is a gr8 place 2 go the landlord is the spit of old st nick with an added bonus a beer belly hes jolly and warm if ur there 2 spend money, and its a festive place all year round. Why not pop in and enjoy a yummy meal or just take in the scenery as ive heard the weekend pot washer is a bit of alright!!
  • The Norfolk Arms, Norfolk st - Fine Ales and whine & free chip butties when the lanlords in a good mood.
  • South to North on Bridge Street is the best direction for a crawl, especially during Manton CC recruitment drives. The Bear, Mano, Singo and Tipper are always willing to listen to players available on a Bosman each Saturday night.
  • The White Lion- top pub, gorgeous barmaids and cheap booze, what more can you ask for?
  • Avenue Avenue Avenue SUCKS!!
  • try the Flamingo in Kilton. Its the dogs Bollocks! free pool, bouncy castle, and service with a snarl...(only kidding Dennis...)
  • As far as trendy pubs go TP woods isnt bad. If you are an alcoholic with little money, the top house is for you. Ship and the millhouse do a good pint, but u cant beat the frog for music. The Unicorn is evil. never go there. One bonus is we are getting a Yates's Wine lodge. class in worksop? we shall see
  • The ship does a good pint for £1 on a Thursday, and the top house is great if you want to get mindless on as little money as possible. TP woods is probably the best pub in town, and the Frog 'n' Nightgown rocks. Top bands on every friday/saturday night.
  • tp woods is good
  • T.P Woods, Theres usually a good brawl at the back door of all the pubs, so take your own ego, or borrow a bit of someone elses
  • The Top House: 99p a pint of Fosters last time I was in there. The Ship: Traditionalish. TP Woods: cool and comfortable, excpet when people get stabbed. Unicorn: always full. There are lots of pubs in Worksop -it just depends on your taste (crap, sh*t, or bloody awful).
  • The Frog and Nightgown is the best place to go to. All of the other pubs are full of shit music.
  • The Queens head, the Unicorn, the ship are all funky.
  • The Gateford, on Gateford Road, and The Three Legged Stool on Thievesdale Lane, are my "locals". I would never have ventured in there before I lived nearby, but I was pleasantly surprised! The Gateford is an ideal stop on the way down town at the weekends. All the footy matches are on, and they serve a buffet as well. The sports quiz usually has a good turnout, Thursdays?, and there's decent Chinese opposite. What more could you want? The Three Legged is more of your "glammed up" pub. One side has the meal option, and the other room has the pool tables etc. Nice and surprisingly popular, but there are no food takaways nearby.
  • The Mallard on the railway station platform. Loads of REAL ALES !! Go in on a Tuesday night & ask for Pete Overend and Roger Smith - they might even buy you a pint.
  • Many pubs all on a straight line. I would recommend the Westgate Social Club. It serves anice pint at £1.42 for a Mansfield Smooth.
  • Old Ship has now been ressurected and is going as strong as ever. The French Horn has just had a refit, but it's more a middleaged pub.
  • Town Centre Pub Crawl. North to South in a straight line.
  • Cannon
  • Ashley Hotel
  • Carlton Tavern
  • Newcastle Arms
  • The Vine
  • Queens Head
  • The Unicorn
  • The Lion
