If you're going to join a site, make sure it's a good one like www.intheknow.org.uk To many sites are either just in it for the money or they are free and don't care who joins as long as they have loads of members. Intheknow is free but you can't just post a profile, all profile have to have a picture of you hold a blank sheet of A4. The Gaiety which I think was up Bridge Street, the Esseldo, on Newcastle Avenue, and the Regal which is still on Carlton Rd. I used to go to the Saturday morning pictures for sixpense at the Regal probably in the early 1960's. The kids used to go bes erk, don't think we watched the films much - but it was all black and white crazy capers. My local sweet shop before we moved to Kilton was run by a Mrs. Tarr on Gateford Rd, and later became 'May's cafe'. I lived near Godfrey's Pond when I was young lass, and nearly drown in there - squelched all the way home down Gladstone Street bawling my head off. Anyway I thought my survival called for a reply to keep the message board alive - my first ever posting. I've long since left the town, and really miss the sense of humour - so send some :) What words best describe the worksop sense of humour............so long since I pissed myself laughing, and challenge you lot out there to send work out for my chuckle muscles - ta!
