You can tell us more about Worthing.

Cheap Food
  • just go town you douches
  • Jack Horner's for lunch!
  • flemmings, the best burger place in town (and the widest selection of milkshakes!!!yummm!) are now located at the end of marine parade on the seafront, just past the newly built warnes hotel....
  • kfc, macky d
  • Cafe Monsoon, Bath Place.
  • Splash point cafe, outside Rud's. (You know, I think they now keep a police riot van or two out there permanently on the weekends.) When inside of takeaway be careful which girls you decide to talk to. A lot of them enjoy seeing their 16 foot skinhead boyfriend beat the shit out of you when you leave.
  • The dumb waiter in Brighton is a great place, good sandwiches and other food during the day and amazing hamburgers in the evening. The people who work there are nice and the environnment is friendly
  • The Chip shop/restaurant -opposite the pier - great pasties etc reasonably priced!
  • LIDL, Pound shop, mcdonalds
  • The Lunchbox in Bath Place next to Woolies is the finest sandwich shop EVER. Nice Thai curries and lovely staff too.
  • on the floor
  • THE BEST PLACE TO BUY BURGERS IS AT THE MARKET IN MONTAGUE STREET ON A WEDNESDAY AND AT A GOOD PRICE ASWELL
  • The Fish Factory has to be the busiest restaurant in town ... even Des Lynam goes there. ASK has also played host to Peter Andre and Jordan - more dumplings sir?
  • The Paragon but it's gone now :(
  • Surma - good curry South farm road cafe - excellent greasy spoon where you can select each item to create a brekki, cheap too.
  • Cafe Monina in Rowlands Road .. delicious Lebanese food and friendly owners
  • JAAFLONG, in South Ferring Village - probably the best indian food in the Worthing area, small and friendly atmosphere - no licence, so take your own booze.
  • Worthing, The North Star. Manager is a total ***. Complained about the 1 hour wait for food and grissle-steak. No apologies.
  • Montagues the Tex Mex (Montague Street) has a great atmosphere and wonderful staff - slightly pricy, but worth it (really good cocktails as well) Imperial China (off the sea front behind the Beach hotel) is the top notch Chinese. Take aways = Best Curry has to be Naaz in Lancing and they deliver - AMAZING! Best Pizza place is Famous Moes (near West Worthing station) - really good piza and side orders.
  • northern fried chicken really take care with their cuisine
  • McDonalds, La Difference, Casa Ciro, KFC, Southern Fried Chicken, Diamond Doner, Dinos, Uncle Jims, Famous Moes Pizza, Favourite Pizza, Perfect Pizza, The Beijing, Wongs...
  • THE best restaurant in town is Casa Ciro - opposite the Pier. It's very lively and for a Thursday to Saturday night booking do NOT expect to be able to walk in off the street and get a table.......you'll have to book at least a week ahead cos, yes folks, it is that popular! The menu is a mixture of Italian & Mediterranean dishes, very reasonably priced and, they only serve the very best fillet steak, none of your rump rubbish! Friendly staff, good wine list and Ciro, (pronounced Cheero) the owner, certainly knows his stuff! If you come to Worthing and don't eat here you'll have missed out on a real treat.
  • Try Calais
  • they have a McDonalds which is the alternative to a Young Person's Offendors Institute.
  • Splash Point Cafe does a great full English breakfast
  • blu pizza- square pizzas all round!
  • In answer to the comment above re: The Parsonage in Tarring (that the staff and clientèle have got their heads stuck up their arses), why is it that with monthly special events, theme evenings and excellent cuisine at reasonable prices they are probably the busiest and most innovative restaurant in the local area? Maybe someone else has got his/her head stuck up their arse?
  • THE BEST RESTAURANT I HAVE COME ACROSS WITH STUNNING FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE BY FAR WELL WORTH A VISIT BE SURE TO BOOK PS IN THE MICHELIN GUIDE
  • The Connaught opposite the Pier - best cappuccino on the south coast, nice fry up on a saturday morning if your girlfriend is dragging you round shopping. Also The Lunch Box in Bath Place - great sangers.
  • Eshna's Nutrition, in East Worthing opposite the Ham Pub, do the best Indian food in Worthing. You have got to try them (820280).
  • I highly recommend The Parsonage in Tarring for anyone who can manage to eat with their heads stuck up their arses. This does have it's advantages - one being you won't be able to hear well known tunes played slowly on a boring Pan Pipes tape loop, secondly you won't hear the waiting staff patronise you and call you Madaaaaaam !! Smarm ,Smarm. Hows the food?? Well if your head's up youre arse you'll know already..
  • Again, the Half Brick on the corner of Ham road and Brighton Road, right on the front, fantastic home cooked food,, plenty of it. 2 steaks for £10, too much grub to mention here, and the puddings are out of this world! (Thanks to June, the landlady!)
  • Mc-E-Dees
  • Shame the Nut House vegetarian restaurant is gone !! The best restaurant in Worthing for Vegetarian food.... all good things come to an end.
  • If you want a decent lunch but fairly cheap try The Lunch Box in Bath Place. Good English and Thai food at reasonable prices and lots of it.
  • Jewel in the Crown has been taken over - rumour being the previous, excellent, owners 'fled back to Bangladesh'. No more free beer then.
  • Try BREAKFAST at SHOREHAM AIRPORT on a Sunday. You can sit outside have a great view, watch the world go bye and have a big fry up for bugger all money. You can even try your hand at flying - a lesson is only £29!
  • you can bring your own food and get free tea & coffee (and sometimes cake) at The Anarchist Teapot squatted cafe / info shop. It's constantly on the move so check the latest venue at http://www.worthing.eco-action.org/teapot
  • Montagues for Mex-Tex and tequila. Fabully doobooly.
  • Pizza Express in Warwick Street is a good place to eat as its cheap but very well laid out. Sussex Yeoman is a carvery just on the edge of town. Its grim. Manageress is a total dragon and they have been know to spit in the food if they don't like you! (My sister worked there, so I know!)
  • Poppies
  • Pizza Express - Warwick Street
  • The Mahaan (Montague Street) is a fine Indian restaurant and comes with my hearty recommendations
  • Uncle Jim's Kebab Shop (Teville Rd) -- more hearty recommendations
  • An excellent place for a wide variety of quality burgers is Flemings (Teville Rd, near Comet).
  • Wing Wah
  • 'The Nut House' does completely vegetarian stuff and lets you bring your own alcohol to consume (also very reasonable and tasty). The Nut House is on the promenade near The Dome cinema.
  • Pizza Hut - South Street - Hostile Manageress.
  • Kentucky Fried Chicken - South Street - Slow service
  • Continental Cafe at Warick Street is recommended
  • Wimpy - Chapel Road - Good service
  • McDonalds - Liverpool Place - OK but Arundel Drive-through is superior
  • Chinese to recommend - New Dynasty - Brighton Road - Local rag often has 2 for 1 offer
  • Beefeater - junctionn of Upper Brighton & Sompting Road - Out of town really.
  • A good currey house is the Jewel in the Crown just 400 yds from the Vine, other good pubs in the town include the Hare and Hounds in Portland Road.
  • The best restaurant in Worthing is 'The Parsonage' in Tarring Village. It's also the oldest building in Worthing. You can actually eat your meal below the beam where a parson hanged himself many years ago. A good conversation point over dinner I reckon.
