Skateboarding Spots
- homefield skate park is the only real park
flat = teville gate, allieds, peter pans (torn down) bowling alley car park
sets = was a 10 down aquarena but that is being torn down, teville has a 6, subway has a seven (rough landing), near splash point is a hotel with 2 huge 9? sets, guildbourne has 3/4 sets and a tight 5/6 set near the bike rails, stairs near bandstand but best skated when the shops are closed (same with guildbourne) pier has doubles, bowling alley has 2 6/7 sets, library used to be good for skating but has been railed, splash point is good but dont let the bitch patrol catch you, oh and jobcentre is nice to sneak into, huge ledge and a few sets
there are way more places to skate but they are a secret...worthing isnt amazing for skating but you have to work with what you got, i know hundreds of spots but you have to be creative
- splash point, behind the aquarena, homefield,
- Erm..that park near Lyndhurst Rd hospital I think. Worthing council ACTUALLY paid to make a skatepark. Never quite got that goodwill gesture myself. But - doh! - the dickheads made it out of concrete. WAIT - now it makes sense. Probably a ploy by the council to kill as many non-conforming, truanting youths as possible without getting their hands dirty.
- 2 and 3 flights on the seafront side of the aquarena.
- Teville gate cark park near worthing station, clean 6 flight with a big kinked handrail to the side! aquarena has loads of stuff, a 10 flight, and some small drops, flights and grass gaps. the lido on the seafront has a good sized grass gap by some traffic lights. town hall is actually a 4, not a 5. guildbournes good, some 4's and 5's. clinic by law courts has a 4 foot drop and a 7 foot drop which my mate has ollied. the BT 9 somewhere near broadwater bridge. bowling alley has a 9, 8, and big handrails. also under bowling alley is a 4 foot drop loading bay you get like 2 mins there. mcdonalds by bandstand has a 2, 3, 4, 5 and double set great to skate by so many people in the way! guildbourne has a big 7 by the phone box's. subways got a drop with a ollie gap before it about 5 ft and a long sloped grinder wierd ground though. pier has some grinders by LUSH night club. homefield skate parks good, people are alright there. aquarena skatepark is gone.. hospital has a drop about 6 ft. again splash point, a 2 ft drop and a 4ft drop. best place for a fun skate. much more i cant be bothered to tell you. go to chichester, portsmouth and london etc. amazing to skate!!!
- Homefield park: good but a load of BMXers are always there. More of a bmx park, too many ramps!
Pier: There is a ledge on the pier that anyone can at least 50-50. If u can't find it ask someone. Always at the pier entrance there are a load of little ledges u can flip off or grind- you will c sk8ers there.
Hospital: Round the back where they are building a new block there is a nice bank and in the car park there is a load of manual boxes and ollie gaps.
The big swimming pool in Worthing has a crappy out door pool. in the winter it is drained. this makes an amazing little crappy bowl, flip in and out, lip slide ledges.
Car parks are a exellent source of ledges, flip gaps, grind bars. try to go all the way down from the top without stopping on each level.
If u can outside the town hall is a nice 5 set, flip it.
thats bout it. be creative. shred a bench or sumthing.
O one more thing, the Worthing Libray is a AWSOME bank , u will get chucked off within 10 mins but it is F**Kin amazin.
- skateboard spots....................well thiers splash point, sea front, guilbourne, some carparks with one little kicker......... OH NO SORRY THAT WAS TORN DOWN DOWN BY THE STUPID COUNCIL!!!
- Homefield Park's purpose built skate park - looks an eyesore but it keeps the kids amused.
- Most tend to hang out at Splash Point on the seafront.
- Victoria Park by my mate Max has a massive long Concrete strip for longbording and skating. Kick ass stuff.
- worthing got built it's own (if slightly small) skateboard 'park', half pipe, rails and some street ramps located in Homefield park
- Seafront and prominade are good - and the clock tower attracts lots of skaters.
- Homefield park, Guilbourne centre car park, Bowling alley car park.
- There's a spot near the seafront in stean gardens where there's a 6 stair set aloong with a 5ft drop off wall. Some huge bails are guarenteed!!!
- the skate park by the tennis courts by the sea front near the aquarina swimming pool.
- Guildbourne centre for skateboarders steps and rails + security guards but we don't give a f*$k....
- Sk8 park in Homefield park made of concrete pretty much "Blade free" once the sk8ers and BMXers enter.
- Ok, Worthing isn't all that great for sk8ing, but after years of pleaing with the council we finally had a lottery grant for a sk8 park in Homefield park. So it's not Crawley, but it's a hell of a lot better than what they tried to fob us off with before!
