- The Park Inn (formerly the Moat House) Hotel is an uninspiring box which dominates the riverbank in the centre of the city. A building of that size could fit in at this location but it has to be interesting architecture (a good place for a 21st century architectural centre-piec to the city)
- norwich union rougier street most staff would like to see the back of it even though they would lose their jobs
- The Yorkshire Eye. What a blot on a well engineered achitectural landscape.
- The "York Eye." Giant wheels belong on giant cars, not as blots on the skyline.
- The council chamber when it is session.
- The high-rise on Stonebow, above Fibbers. It's hideous.
- Fulford School
- That awful 1960's concrete monstrosity on Stonebow - I believe it to be called the 'Enterprise Center'
- MOATHOUSE HOTEL
- Oaklands school
- Oaklands school
- Coppergate Centre
- Stonebow.
- Oh Stonebow, stonebow. but it's what they flattened to build it that you'd weep over.
- well, they've done Victoria house. I think Presto opposite will follow. The Stonebow is a popular candidate, I'm not too keen on the moathouse either or even the old GA building... and that funny office nearby opposite the station. i think generally if they sort out all the monstrosities by the riverside, it'll make a big difference.
a particular target of mine would be Layerthorpe and the road which meets it and runs along the foss to walmgate, and al the nasty looking bits along it, which they seem to be beginning to address - it's an ugly looking bit of town.
- Well all of the Tang hall and Clifton community would be a start, but wollies would be a start
- Minster
- The Minster of course. Ugly large lump of pooeywooey.
- All of York Uni. The dick heads.
- Ooh, that eyesore on Picadilly. That one that used to be Laserquest, or whatever it was. Develop that, and not Coppergate!
- Cliffords tower!
- Coppergate Centre. It looks like a prison.
- topshop
- The whole of York Uni
- The minster.... only joking stonebow of course.
- York University!!!!!!!!!! twats!
- ZIGGYS
- ZIGGY'S!!!!
- Stonebow House, sixties nightmare. And with ref to the earlier entry, they are doing something about Victoria House. They're building just what York needs, another bloody hotel
- THAT HORRIBLE PLACE ON STONEBOW!
- University
- Marks and Spencers - destroyed the entrance to the Shambles, one of the most attractive medieval streets of Europe.
- Ryedale Building on Piccadilly, but not if this means letting the greedy developers have the Castle Car Park to build on as well !
- the whole university. Prefab nonsense. Especially the mushroom (you'll know it when you see it!)
- Bootham Crescent, Stonebow House, Picadilly Plaza, Safeway (Acomb)
- York university - Bastards
- wentworth c
- Ryedale Building, Piccadilly.
Stonebow House
- The uni has some horrible sixties concrete buildings.
- Victoria House is an eyesore as is Presto's across the road. When will they do something with those buildings?
- Huntington School, so long as all teachers past and present were on site at the same time.
- The entire tech college ( further and hihger education) campus and the Knavesmire stand at York racecourse
- The Moat House Hotel
- the whole of Micklegate
- BARBICAN COS ITS CRAP
- The Barbican - what were they thinking of?
- Central hall on the university campus. It's horrible.
- Stonebow. If you ever see this abomination to archtecture, you'll understand why.
- That ugly eyesore known as the pound shop opposite bella pasta
- minster or nestle chocolate factory
- That one on Stonebow that houses the employment service. Can't remember what it's called now.
- Stonebow House - unbelievably horrid.
- The mock-Tudor bus-stop opposite the railway station.
- Stonebow House...........70's carbuncle.......
