AVOID THIS SITE! Jane Wiggs pay-pal site will cost you to look at it. ‘Jane’. Glad that you’re telling everyone in Britain that you’re English. Like when ever I put a comment on any of the Knowhere sites, I always let everyone know my nationality. I know that Jane Wiggs is not your real name, and that you’re not English. I also know that a pay-pal site charges anyone to look at it. If you are a drug pushing lowlife scum, >>more

Jonah by Wombat (Member 121687) on 14-Sep-03
Got a friend from Keighley Secondary Technical School trying to find an old schoolmate. John (Jonah) Jones, an Earby boy, was in the first intake of 11 plus kids in 1957 and an artistic student with a love of Teeny Bounties. Phillip Preston is trying to find out what ever happened to Jonah. Can any one out there help him? If Jonah can be found I am able to pass on Phillip's contact details.

  • Re: Jonah by Carole Clark (Member 2309) on 22-Nov-03
Is John the brother of Anne Jones? Anne was in my class at Earby New Road School. I then went on to Keighley Tech. Carole (Bennett) Clark Canada

  • Re: Jonah by Wombat (Member 121687) on 30-Nov-03
No idea Carole, I'm from Keighley and only new Jonah from the Tech. closer friends think Jonah may have moved to London to follow an artistic career, but an ex pupil from Barlick thinks that he may have been employed by Colourol (not sure of the spelling) in Earby up to a couple of years back.

May be I can throw some light on the John Jones you are looking for, John was a good friend of me and my brother,Tony. Johns sister was Ann,their mum and dad were Rose and Ern Jones. Rose drove a lovely drophead Rover car. Ern worked for Silentnight. John became a designer, went to London I think. Following Erns death Rose remarried and went to live in South Wales.Ann married and last I heard was still in Earby. We left Earby >>more

We are arriving in the UK two days after the seminar. I would have found this very interesting. As a born and bred Barlicker I would appreciate any information you could send me on the local Historical Societies. My mothers family came to Barnoldswick from the Dales (Airton) many many years ago. Can you advise whether there will be any handout literature on this subject available at the seminar. Thank You Brian Shaw
