Very philosophical there D'mouf. Very deep as well, as probably is the well? Well. I must admit that Dog Master and myself do have the occasional dig at each other, but Ulverston's ref Wise Old Dave is usually keeping a watchful eye just in case things get out of hand.

Sat watching 2 council workers working last week. One was digging holes in the ground, the other was walking behind him shortly afterwards filling the holes back in. This went on for near on an hour. The first digging a hole and the second filling it in. It got the better >>more

I haven't heard any updates sorry. I take my young lad up there every month and to be honest it's a bloody nightmare getting parked up there anyway. Last month I ended waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes for a 10 min appointment which makes the whole buying a parking ticket >>more

Think if you get a ticket because you are delayed by them - the hospital - you can get it cancelled. Everyone who is delayed should complain anyway. Thast would probably affect their 'targets' and they wouldn't like that...

we just had a run to kent and back, the most exspensive diesel we saw for the car was on the motorway of course at 126.9p/litre, untill we got back to Filey! well done ralf!!!! 129.9plitre !!!! hope u get stuck with yer tanks full when the price drops!

I remember the days when Filey had 4 or 5 garages all selling fuel at reasonable prices (my own family's garage included). Unfortunately people were lured to the supermarkets / scarborough to save a penny a gallon and one by one they all shut down from lack of custom / support. >>more

Well guys. At the moment I'm working in Thurso (top end of the UK mainland and miles from anywhere) and even in this back of beyond place of the damned the petrol is cheaper than Filey at £1.19 per litre.
