Does anyone have any information regarding the move of the skate park in Clock Tower Park to Lobley's Park? I know there is a group of skaters who have formed (or the the council have decided to call) ABBEYRIDE. If you are a member - what are you up to? Do you have any ideas to make sure the park does not disappear for good! (I have read a recent article in the Citizen Newspaper saying residents d on't want it).You may be wondering why I am so interested, it is because I have done some research on the net and it seems that a lot of parks get shut down and are never replaced because of complaints, I am angry about this as I believe kids have a right to make a noise without being hassled. I would be interested in getting involved in some way to make sure it is not closed for good, as I fear it will be. I would like to organise a demonstration to let everyone know skaters are not going away and they deserve a skate park - get a piece in the paper about the positive side to the skate park. In the article is used the words 'controversial' park. What is controversial about a park!!!! If anyone reads this and is interested in MAKING SOME NOISE! 10 year old Emma has had surgery for Scoliosis and is now campaigning to raise awareness of the condition and for all children in the UK to have the very simple 'bend forward' test to get an early diagnosis of Scoliosis.
