    Hi, Lynn. I don't know the company actually in Mossley itself, but there is a company near Peterborough which supplies these telehpone boxes. They are the genuine originals, and have been stripped down to the bare metal and fully refurbished to a high standard. The company is called Garling Consulting Limited. Good luck!

Yes I do have a brother called Lawrence and he still lives in Mossley on Waterton lane, I am Living in BC Canada with my wife, Having moved from Mossley to Australia then to Canada, this too is a Beautiful place to live, My Daughter was in Florida last year doing some diving off the keys........ I am a welder here and only a few more years now until I retire.

Barbara Bilyard is trying to trace her father's family....In 1892 her father Albert Bryant Cullen was born at Weir Cottages, Mossley (That 'Weir' spelling may possibly be slightly different now)........Do the cottages still exist?....would love a photo if they do...will pay....(Barbara lives in Tasmania)....Thank you

    The cottages do not exist anymore. There were a number of cotton mills built around that area and the owners built cottages for their workers. One such mill was Weir Mill and Weir Cottages was where many of their workers lived. My grandfather was born there in 1874. His father was the stationary engine driver at the mill (he operated the steam engine used to power the machinery).

    you are not going to believe this but I am the half sister you met just before Daddy died in 1961. I am the adopted daughter of Albert and Elizabeth. They had a biological son called Alfred. I am living and working in far north Qld.
