This sounds like a great idea, and it could work. Imagine being able to select the team every week. We could do a great job. I've signed up and one of the things the website lets you do is select the team you think the fans should buy - and I have gone for Basingstoke, so lets hope that becomes the most popular choice.

A Rose by any other name

by Flash (Member 189510) on 20-Aug-07

Wondered if anyone knew the whereabouts of an old friend who I have not seen for about 30+ years. Her name is Rose, back in the sixties she lived on a farm near Hartley Westpool just on the outskirts of Basingstoke. She worked where I first met her at the department store 'Thomas Wallis'. Her Aunty had a coal business in Hook. She was a very attractive blond with a happy and carefree personality, we were partners for a short while >>more

After she left you she met a great guy and started an Aardvark farm, breeding prize Aardvarks. She often said she had wasted so much time with you, she should have booted you earlier!

Reading back through your immature messages on this forum, poking fun at genuine posts suggests to me that you probably have little in the way of romantic attachment in your life and likely get a hard on when you see your pathetic unfunny remarks displayed.

Flash, let's face it, you are too old now after 30 odd years, and she's probably made a better life for herself since giving you the flick. You sound like a bitter and twisted person who should get out more instead of dwelling on the past. Unless of course you are an ugly looking bastard!

There have been many reports of Aardvarks around Basingstoke in recent months, it seems they maybe making a comeback. If you sight any Aarvarks, please a message here or contact The Aardvark protection Society. Be warned though not to approach them as they can be very dangerous!

I haven't seen any Aarvarks around Basingstoke, but have noticed some 'hard narks' around Bordon. main one sinclude 'Bad boy BOOLDAWG' and 'FRANK DUX INNIT'.

Re: Aarvarks making a comeback around Basingstoke
by Frank Appleford (Member 93872) on 14-Jul-07
Anyone who frequents the knowhere boards, knows that most people give Bordon the miss. Even the Aardvarks gave Bordon a miss during the 2002 uprising. They spread from Baisingstoke, then towards Winchester and then Alton where the final carnage took place. But not Bordon, they gave it a miss! Baisingstoke remembers!

Excellent, I'll get the sack for browsing on here during work time, but it's the best website ever, apart from The Highway star of course, I can still recall re-enacting the 1978 World cup and using a wall chart from Shoot to record the games, Saddest ever memory was brought back to me when watching the FA Cup final in some boozer in Market Rasen, we actually did the 1980 final at a mates house and bought the Cockney Rejects, West >>more

Re: Peter Upton's subbuteo tribute website.
by Frank Appleford (Member 93872) on 18-May-06
Well I'm much the same Dave, I check the news from the internet instead of tv, I look for jobs on the internet, I play games, I abuse people - it's great. I'll have to try and remember your membership number so as not to get mixed up with your stalker. Although you don't use caps in your name so that might do.
-
Re: Peter Upton's subbuteo tribute website.
by dave sanderson (Member 140438) on 18-May-06
I suppose when you were a kid, you played sport and pretended to be some famous person, a normal part of childhood, well whoever is pretending to be me should be using the school computer to finish their lesson, or it will be detention, actually Frank, I am using a PC at work, but I am on my break honest!

Frank, early night tonight, problem is should I pray for Grimsby to win the play off or for a night with Tanita? How about BOTH! I'm off to bed for a nice little dream but by tomorrow at least one will be reality, I just hope Tanita is a closest Grimsby fan.

Need extra cash for that Gliding Holiday?
|
by Dave Sanderson (Member 198225) on 4-Apr-06
|
|
Last week I earned 50p and a 3 litre bottle of white lightning (posh eh) without having to leave the comfort of my own piss smelling DHSS bedsit. Simply scour the local bus stations for a tramp with a full bottle and invite him back to your place to take you up the shitter. When he nods off exausted from all the bum fun rifle his pockets for booty. Thats how I met my pals Peter and George.

Re: Need extra cash for that Gliding Holiday?
by dave sanderson (Member 140438) on 30-Apr-06
No but the stalker pretending to be me with a different and obviously more recent membership number must be, an old cyber contact told me about this, pity the poor stalker, see you on the boards, I can fully understand anyone trying to be me though. I'm just as legendary in reality as on these boards.

Re: Need extra cash for that Gliding Holiday?
by dave sanderson (Member 140438) on 10-May-06
Really Frank, it's simply being able to put things in perspective, a few words on a screen won't kill anyone, if someone wants to be, then let him carry on with his fantasy. It's only the internet, not real life.
-
Re: Need extra cash for that Gliding Holiday?
by Frank Appleford (Member 93872) on 14-May-06
I agree Dave, the knowhere boards are unique in that they can be used in a casual way and are amusing. I get a good laugh out of it and some of the boards are better than others. I always look in at the Port Glasgow board to see if Andrew has posted anymore jokes or the Dublin board to see if Tranter has posted etc.
-
Re: Need extra cash for that Gliding Holiday?

Why take life so seriously? I've had my share of bad times and survived it all. Had a great day Saturday, looks like Grimsby are in the play off final, absolutely great FA Cup final too, exciting guy that I am, even attended the Cleethorpes kite festival earlier, jolly good fun it was too, I expect whoever is impersonating me is probably as high as a kite now, me I'm just about to go out for a bevvy, wonder if Tanita >>more

This is a kind of pyramid selling, no body actually makes any money out of the product (which no one in their right mind wants anyway) the money is made by getting mugs to invest their hard earned cash who then go on to try and find more mugs to do likewise. Don't go there, you are being taken for a mug.
