Hi Pauline, I lived in St Albans 1952-71. I didn't know Ginger well but he was always around during my teenage years thoughout the 60s. I have written to the Vicar at Pershore Abbey with my memories of him and have asked that they be read out during the service. I live in South Wales now and am trying to find a way to get to Pershore for the funeral...but it doesn't look very likely. I used to meet him in >>more

  • Re: HELLO ANY BODY THERE WHO WERE FRIENDS OF YOUR LOCAL CHARACTER GINGER MILLS? by Lindsay (Member 114639) on 17-Feb-08
Hi Pauline I think there are many different versions of Ginger's life-story. I understand that he didn't really like being interviewed and I am sure he told different people different things to preserve the mystery! I'm bringing some stuff with me tomorrow for you to read - one article says that he joined Bertram Mills Circus. I think it's anyone's guess really. Maybe now that he is gone some of the stories will start to come out.

What a great idea. Its only £39 a share so I have taken a punt. I've signed up and with a few like minded people we could do it. Being able to buy and manage our own team and pick the team every week and watch our dreams come true sounds great to me.

Yes i appear slightly sad in doing this but i'm looking to make some friends. I've just moved to st albans from Ireland (Waterford, Dublin, Belfast-i've lived in a couple of places...) anyhow, i'm 22, fun and slowly going insane with the lack of young people in st.albans...where is everyone hiding? The karma from this will surely erase anything bad in your past... connolly_siobhan@yahoo.ie

Earn a fast $$$ the Sandesrson way. by Dave Sanderson (Member 198225) on 4-Apr-06
Last week I earned 50p and a 3 litre bottle of white lightning (posh eh) without having to leave the comfort of my own piss smelling DHSS bedsit. Simply scour the local bus stations for a tramp with a full bottle and invite him back to your place to take you up the shitter. When he nods off exausted from all the bum fun rifle his pockets for booty. Thats how I met my pals Peter and George.
